x60s cheaper than x40?!?!

#1 Post by dorin » Wed Mar 29, 2006 5:57 pm

hi guys,

i realised something wired, at least in Switzerland, the x40 is more expensive (300eu) than a new x60s, and cmon x40 was released 2 years ago!

anybody have any idea why?! should this be the plan as some said that Lenovo aims for consumer category now and the quality is decreasing?!

thanks, and i hope i put it in the right category in the forum, if not, admins pls dont behead me! ;)

Well, a similar thing happened when the T43 came out; a T42 would actually be *more* expensive in certain cases than a similarly featured T43. IBM did this too.

And, No....The quality hasn't gone down by any means.

I met someone who looks a lot like you.
She does the things you do.
But she is an IBM.

probably not as expensive since there isn't that IBM overhead. :)

I wish though the X60s had carbon fiber instead of Mg for the casing. That would make it even lighter.
