WTB - Dock II (2877-10U)

#1 Post by JHEM » Wed Mar 29, 2006 10:56 pm

Anybody got an unused or unwanted Dock II collecting dust?

Not a desperate need, but another one would be very useful.

PM or email me.

James

This is kind of off topic but I was looking at that yesterday and my Mini Dock with the 4 usb ports. What would make the Dock II more useful?

For me, the internal Ultrabay and the ability to use a PCI video card.

Dock II

#5 Post by schen » Mon Apr 03, 2006 2:36 pm

I've actually got a couple of Dock spares complete with Monitor Stand 2000, but I'm not even sure if you can use that. Or at the very least have to have a regular battery in the machine.
Family Daily Drivers- T430s, T530, X220
Work- Sadly, the ThinkPads have gone away...... and replaced by HP ProDesk SFF drone machines :(
Other Projects- Edge 15, Z61m (Titanium)
Historic Retired ThinkPads- T42p, X20, A31p, 701c, 760XD, WorkPad C505

Appreciate the offer, but the T4X series and up machines won't fit in the Dock I, although my A31p is presently purring away in one.

I'd consider taking one off your hands if it's truly surplus to your needs and the price was right.

What you've got: http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site. ... IGR-4URSWX

What I'm looking for: http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site. ... MIGR-46393

Fits ALL A, R, T and X series machines with a few exceptions, very handy to have when I get a shipment of assorted Thinkpads in that need checkouts, TLC and updates.

Dock

Truly surplus. I actually have three docks with two monitor stands. I really need one, but would prefer to keep two, so I have one set that I'd be happy to get rid of. If you want to make an offer with what you'd think is "the right price", I'd like to be one less box.

Probably go as high as $100, but you'd be better off selling it with your T43 as a package.

yeah, i already have a friend willing to pay 100 for it in the event that i dont sell it with my t43 as a package deal, so i was just seeing if you were willing to pay more for some reason.

ive seen some going for 80ish on ebay so keep your eye out there.
