#1 Post by gunston » Thu Mar 30, 2006 2:15 am

hi all,
i have just found out that your system performance can remain active and dynamic as you "disable the optimize hard disk when idle" using PowerToy TweakUI

According to some reading I did online, you can do this optimization manually by executing "defrag c: -b[oot]" from time to time.

Since I defrag manually (via script) semi-monthly, this is a handy way to save battery power.
