FN + F8 on ThinkPad Hotkey Features Onscreen Display?

Has anyone tried upgrading to the new version (released March 16) of the ThinkPad Hotkey Features? the only change from my existing version that I can make out is "support for FN + F8" - does anyone know what this does?

Hi, yes, it allows you to control the ultranav device settings, i.e whether you want to enable/disable the trackpoint and/or touchpad devices.
