How to access BIOS when using power-on password

#1 Post by Marciavelli » Fri Mar 31, 2006 3:39 am

Hello,
I just secured my system with a power-on password, but now I am not able to access my BIOS, as the screen switches directly after the log-in screen to the windows boot screen. I know it is a newbie question, but please help me.

Thanks

Hello again.,
a few moments ago I tried to follow your advise. But it doesn't work. When I press the power-on button, the fingerpint screen apperars immdiately. And when I press F1 nothing happens.

Thanks

You need to do a full reboot. Either do it through the WinXP login screens or once you're logged in, or hold down the power button for 4 secs to force it to turn off.

When you start it again, keep hitting F1.
