[T42p] Odd FSB report from memtest86+

#1 Post by Noel » Mon Jul 26, 2004 8:48 pm

memtest86+ is available from http://www.memtest.org. One downloads and ISO, and then just burn and boot.

A friend and I, on two separate 2373-KXU, each get something like:

Pentium 1993 MHz
L1 4K 24608 MB/s
L2 2048K 10833 MB/s
FSB 99 MHz, mobile pentium
RAM: 99 MHz (DDR 198) CAS 2.5-3-3-10

That FSB figure seems odd. I am curious to know what figures others see, particularly the FSB. I'm wondering if something odd is going on, or if ithe software is reporting a bogus value.

No, nothing odd is going on. The bus is quad-pumped, which means it runs at 100 MHz and has an effective speed of 400 MHz. :)
