T43 X300 hangs in 2D mode sometime

I have some trouble with my T43 2669-Y5D.
It often hangs when I just working with my applications in Windows XP
It happens when my notebook is running on AC and battery charge is about 90-100%.

Windows just freezed when I move mouse. no respond on any key pressing except thinklight, and power off buttons.
It could happen after 1-15 minutes of working with Windows applications.

Also I noticed that there is no such problem or errors during running 3D Games and Benchmarks or PC diagnostic utilites.

The only solution is to disable or not install video card driver. It was found after several attempt of reinstalling Windows and drivers.

I tried Catalyst and Omega drivers, but both of them have such problem.
Could I know if there are some other drivers for Radeon X300 Mobility?
Or can I easily replace my video card with some other? And what is variant of such replacements?
Or there is some other way to resolve the problem?

P.S. unfortunately my T43 have no warranty in our country.

But the problem reproduced even on just installed WindowsXP SP2,
during Thinkpad drivers installation. I have installed only drivers for unknown devices in Device Manager including driver of video card.
And the computer hang on the message that your computer shall be restarted after some driver instalation finished.
No any other 3-rd part software was installed
