dhcp or wireless key...?!?!

#1 Post by dorin » Mon Apr 03, 2006 8:33 pm

hi there,

after a fresh install i found myself in front of a wired problem: from time to time (boot to boot) the wireless doesnt connect to router (i get an error like dhcp couldnt be set or it might be the wireless key)...

then i restart and mostly its going just great, if not another restart and then goes perf.

any idea what might be the cause and how can i fix it? (i use latest drivers and software)

thanks,

dorin

You might think about upgrading your router firmware, depending on the model it is not extremely complicated.

Just basic troubleshooting stuff, if you upgraded the drivers in your laptop there may be some issue with an older firmware version in the router. Your ipconfig looks ok, i have not seen one with the ipv6 address yet though.
