long delay waking up from standby

Hi,

My T42p sometimes takes several minutes to wake up from standby. In that time, the screen is just black, the hd is not doing anything, and the computer is basically silent. (I am running XP.) Any ideas?

I sometimes experience this problem too. I have a feeling mine's associated with the wireless card. I think one of the earlier driver updates fixed the problem and then with subsequent (newer) updates, the problem returned. :roll:

maybe skype is running? i had the dame problem - but only if skype was running "during" standby or hibernation mode.

I experience this problem sometimes if I have many Firefox tabs open before hibernating.
It's a trick. Get an axe.
