How is the T60 15" Flexview display outdoors?

#1 Post by rocketman » Tue Apr 04, 2006 8:51 am

Has anyone tried using their 15" Flexview T60 outdoors? I'm wondering how the display is in an outdoor or on the patio environment. My 15" Powerbooks display washes out to where it's barely useable.

Personally, I find the screen brilliant and usable in all circumstances other than the one where you have an ultra-bright light source right behind you (say an annoying bulb). On those occasions, it tends to reflect and become hard to read---like a glossy magazine.

Though the screen in itself is no way glossy.

I found it hard to use while riding a car at noon in a bright day. But that was with the display set to "normal". On "high" brightness it may be better, although I doubt it will be 100% comfortable.

Don't you think it's a good thing that it's hard to use while riding a car?

Of course, :D, now I see it. I made the jump from riding a bike, to riding a car. Silly me.
