Battery status question.

#1 Post by Gord K. » Wed Apr 05, 2006 9:22 pm

I have a T21 2647-8AU and if I run off the battery it almost immediately warns me to connect the AC adapter. I have seen people refer to how many cycles they have on their battery, how do I find out this information for mine?

If you are running XP (and Win2000) I think, you can download Battery Maximizer and it will give you info on the battery. It will display a green battery in the right corner. Once you have it installed, you can left click the battery icon and choose "Battery Information" and then "Battery Health".

Yes, Battery Maximiser. Google search for "Thinkpad drivers" and go to the IBM site. There is an autoupdater utility there that will provide a bunch of driver updates and software utilities, including the BatteryMaximizer. Neato!

Yeah, if you are using Win2K or WinXP, then you can use the Software Installer to find all of the updates and some software that you might need.
