Motherboard identification of T43p

#1 Post by NotAGeek » Fri Apr 07, 2006 11:57 am

Hi,
I have a T43P with 2.13 GHz machine. I am trying to install a software which needs the name of the motherboard manufacturer. Can anyone help me with this ? I tried some of the motherboard identification s/w available on net, but they couldn't identify it as IBM is using a PHOENIX BIOS.

Thanks in advance,
A

It's an IBM or Lenovo MB, there are no other choices.

It is an IBM or Lenovo...

but it uses an Intel Chipset (915 series).

And as you said uses PHOENIX BIOS.

usually, with one of those, you can move from there.... that's really what the question typically is trying to get at anyway.

Thanks for the info. What I am actually aiming for is to tweak with the supply voltage of the processor core. I know tools like Notebook Hardware Control can do that. But I need the low-level prograaming framework that actually gives the user control over setting the supply voltage. I looked at ACPI specs and couldn't find any info about this.

Does anyone give any feedback on this ?

Thanks ,
A
