Rescue & Restore to partitioned drive

I'd like to used Rescue & Restore (accesible during bootup) to put the OS on a new parition of my original HD, so that I can mess around with the original system.

Is this possible? If so, where will I find the option to do this?

I believe you need an OS disc to install it from there instead of R&R. But I never done this, so you should play around it and tell us what u find.
