LCD BLACK....NEED HELP!

#1 Post by bigbrother0804 » Fri Apr 07, 2006 7:48 pm

HELLO, everyone I'm toally at a loss. I recently purchased a X31 2672 PBU it worked great for about a year. bought it from a fellow classmate. Screen is dark and I can see faint image at obscure angles , works fine on external monitor, replaced both the inverter card, and just bought a new replacement LCD from Screentek. I need help with this before school starts back. I love this thing, but this is driving me crazy....!

Did you have any kind of warning, such as a red or pink lighting during the boot process, prior to losing the display?

NO lighted sign at all, just faint image of windows splash screen and then desktop (only at obscure angles is it visable) booting is all normal to my knowlege... I'm not sure that I am following your thoughts on this...
thanks,
Kevin

I had the exact same problem with my old T21. I got someone to replace the backlight in the screen and everything worked fine.

Did you replace or inspect the LCD cable? If you have replaced both the inverter AND the LCD, then the only two things left (to my knowledge) would be the LCD cable or the system board.

EDIT: I replied here instead of responding to your PM.
