DVD Software

#1 Post by PutnamJct » Sat Apr 08, 2006 11:45 am

Hi All,

When I ordered my Z60M online, the salesman ordered the DVD combo drive seperately to speed up my order. In doing so, I just figured out last night that I can not play a DVD on my computer because I have NO playback software.
I think it would have normally come with Intervideo or something but I am not sure. I search all over the Lenovo site and can't find anything. I tried downloading the commercial version of Intervideo (they have a trial version) but it keeps crapping out half way through the install......
Any help greatly appreciated!

John

Have you tried using the software installer and letting it find the software for you? Just search from the lenovo site for the software installer download. HTH.

dont worry. Intervideo application software comes with your Z60 naturally, so you can play your DVD anytime you want, and even update the Intervideo with System Update software in ThinkVantage.

But I never watch DVD on my Z60t, just then removed it totally:P

Your ThinkPad should come with WinDVD. Look in Start > All Programs > InterVideo WinDVD > InterVideo WinDVD. If you don't find it, you may be able to launch the installer from your hard drive. Look for SETUP.EXE in the following directory: C:\IBMTOOLS\APPS\DVDPLAY.

Alternatively, I believe Windows Media Player plays DVD's.
