Hello,
I'm student from Switzerland and for us we have promotion.
The promotion are for 2 model of t60p et 1 model of t60.
I will use my computer for programming in DirectX managed and I want gaming to the last videogame in 3d.
I hesitate between the model T60p UT083SF 3490CHF = about 2683.29 $US = about 2244.88 Euro and T60p UT093SF 3599CHF = about 2767.1 $US = about 2314.99 Euro here is the link http://www.rabais-etudiant.ch/index.php ... lyvalents/ can you advise me please.
wich T60p to choose ???
It boils down to a 14" screen or a 15" screen.
The 14" model is more portable. It you do a lot of travelling, it's certainly a lot easier to carry around.
The 15" model has the FlexView display, which is far superior to the non-Flexview in the 14" model. If your new computer will spend most of its time sitting on a desk, definitely get the 15" model.
If you will be travelling a lot with it AND using it as a primary computer on your desk, it comes down to personal preference. You can use an external display at your desk to minimize the difference between the two models, but I still like to have the nice 15" screen while on the road.
I'm also a software developer who travels quite a bit, and have spent a lot of time with both 14" and 15" Thinkpads. I prefer the 15" over the 14". If FlexView was available on the 14" model, I might switch over, but despite what others have reported on this board I've never known anyone who has received a 14" FlexView screen.

Apathy is on the rise, but nobody seems to care.
