Upgrade fingerpint reader?

Hello,
I got a Thinkpad T60 2007-49G. I got it with a student discount, so I didn't have any choice as to the features.
I would like to have a fingerprint reader and wondered if it would be possible to upgrade my model by ordering a replacement palm rest for a 14" model with fingerprint reader.
Anyone got any information about this?

Well, I imagine that the procedure would be similar to upgrading a T4X Series Thinkpad with an FPR...You have to make sure that the mobo supports it, so check that first. HTH

Oh, a replacement palm rest makes so much more sense than my original thought---a fine hacksaw.
