#1 Post by AlphaKilo470 » Mon Apr 10, 2006 9:48 pm

It appears that Chevy doesn't screen the commericals submitted by fans in their new promotion thingamabob:

Found this link on a weblog and I thought it was funny.

Interesting, reading the text at the end, I wonder if it is our very own forum member "bhtooefr" that did this one.....or if maybe this name means something else.

They both live in Ohio and have the same blog ;) :)

But I am impressed with that commercial; 1.) Where the Tahoe footage was obtained 2.) Where did that idea come from :D

I liked it too.

Actually, if you read bhtooefr's website, as linked from his profile here at thinkpads.com, you will see that he did this intentionally for fun:

Good job, Eric!

I'm pretty sure I heard a story about this on TV. The idea was for Chevy to supply some clips, music, etc, and have "regular" people assemble commercials saying how great Chevy is. Turns out, not everyone wanted to extoll Chevy virtues... many of the home-made commercials talking about the lousy gas mileage the Chevy SUVs get, etc. etc.
