Problems formatting HPA

#1 Post by dexta » Mon Apr 10, 2006 10:14 pm

I was able to make the HPA visible via the BIOS settings. However now I am not able to format it all using the default MS Disk Management software.

I remember doing this aeons ago (and it worked fine) however now Disk Management does not give me any option to do anything with the IBM_SERVICE partition.

Any ideas/suggestions? Going to give Partition Magic a try.

edit: Was able to format the drive with Partition Magic. Dont know why Disk Management was not working though.

then just go ahead and use partition magic to format as well as making it visible/ redistribute free space/ merge with other partition and etc..
