Power Adapter question 3.5A v. 4.5A

I have another power adapter from a previous IBM thinkpad the only difference I can see in output 3.5 A in my original factory equipment and the spare is 4.5A model . Both are 16v

plug obviously fit.

Qurestion will this damage my X41T? or my * cell battery?

Short answer: I've seen this question asked before and most say that you are fine using either one.
