Mouse Driver Help

#1 Post by JLai » Tue Apr 11, 2006 1:35 am

Hey guys, I was wondering if you guys knew of a mouse driver profile switcher or something of the like.

The reason being is that I find mice have conflicting drivers with the laptop's touchpad/pointstick drivers. Aka...it alters the speed where my point stick feels sluggish because it is being overtaken by the other mouse drivers. My solution to this was to just use the standard windows drivers for the mouse and not install the specific drivers for the mouse itself (I can live with not being able to use every single button on the mouse).

This has worked fine up till now, but I am now looking at upgrading my mouse. More importantly, I'm looking at some 2000 dpi mice (Razor Copperhead & Logitech G7). The problem with this is that the 2000 dpi (from my undertstanding) will make the mouse seem slow on the screen if I don't install the drivers because windows won't know what to do with 2000 dpi. So, basically, is there a way around this? Or are the new drivers able to work along side the IBM pointstick and not feel like the speed is off?

Thanx ahead guys. I hope this made sense.
