Is the build of T60 keyboard of lower quality than T4x K/B?

#1 Post by akhran » Wed Apr 12, 2006 9:40 am

My T60 comes with NMB keyboard and I notice the keys are of uneven depression; some keys are higher than the others, one end of the space bar is higher than the other end. As compared to T42 and T43's keyboard that I have, keys on those keyboards seem to be of even 'height' (for the lack of a better word).

Anyone else share this observation?

I've compared the T43 and T60 extensively before making my T60 purchase and I feel that the new T60 has at least the same rigidity as the old T-series. I wouldn't be surprised if its even more.

Had several notebooks in the past few years like an Acer, Sony Vaio, Panasonic W2 Toughbook (piece of junk), and an HPDV1000 (not bad for the price) and I realize that my T60's keyboard quality the best among all. Still can't say how it will hold as I notice that keyboard presses starts getting a bit uneven after a year usually but i'm confident that the T60 will not disappoint.
