Hi All...
Just wanted to say that I sent in my T42p to IBM for a failed GPU (system would lock up, LCD would display artifacts, bios beep code for graphics adapter failure would go off) and I was really happy with service.
I sent dropped the laptop off at a DHL drop box on Tuesday night and I recieved the laptop Thursday morning. I guess props to DHL also, and IBM for actually understanding customers urgence to get their hardware back quick.
I have some more testing to make sure everything is solid. They replaced the motheboard ( planar card ) and updated the BIOS, and things look good so far.
Figured this experience might be reassuring to others whom have had much worse.
