Just wondering if anyone else is having the same problems...
My multiburner (it's only the 2x dvd burner) has a lot of trouble burning large data DVDs. I'm trying to move some of my back up images to DVD to free up space on my external HD. Each file is a little less than 4.1 gb - so there's plenty of room on the DVD. The problem is that it fails mid burn and asks me to check for scratches, etc. and to put in a new blank disk. I've tried memorex, verbatim, imation, and ESA brands. I'm running the current version of the burner firmware (put out about 3/28/06) and the DVD's are all rated at 4x or above. It seems like every 3rd or 4th try will succeed.
I'm also using the current version of recordnow (though I also had this problem with the previous version).
It burns small files to DVD just fine and burns large files to CD just fine. By the way, I'm using DVD-R and would prefer to NOT use DLA for this task.
Thanks!
