Please please HELLLPP R32

I boght a DVD RW for my IBM 32 I put it in and i turn on the comp.But hte windows didn't regonize the DVD as icone or as the hard ware.Try it to check the bio and still didn't regonize Please tell me any one what to do.Wen i pres the butons for open the Door the door open normal
