thinking about buying a T60P
Hi, I have some questions about the T60P:
1. If I buy the advanced dock and place a video card into it, will this video card somehow work in tandem with the ATI V5200 in the T60P, or will it completely override the V5200?
2. Will the ATI V5200 in the T60P and the DVI port on the advanced dock be able to drive 1920x1200? How about 2560x1600 (dual-link DVI needed)?
3. I noticed that the T60P by default comes with the 9-cell battery that sticks out the back and adds extra weight. Does the 6-cell battery weigh considerably less?

1. The video card that would be placed in the advanced dock would only run at 1x speed instead of 16x (PCI-E). there is anotehr thread about it somewhere. i'm pretty sure you can pick which gfx card uses which display however i'm not sure.
2. It can drive 1920x1200, however it cannot drive 2560x1600 unless you buy an external video card.
3. i believe it weighs less, however i'm not sure about the specifics. maybe it says osmething about it in the TABOOK (check the faq)

More questions:
4. Does the T60P come with the Windows XP Pro installation CD? I may replace the 100GB hard drive with something bigger down the line and will want to reinstall the OS.
5. The Lenovo site says the T60P with the ATI V5200 GPU will ship in "3-6 weeks". I'm planning to add another 1GB of RAM and the advanced dock. Does it really take up to 6 weeks?

4.) No, it doesn't come with any recovery CDs; but you can make your own and install the same factory image onto the new HDD when you put it in.
5.) Sometimes, most of the time it doesn't take the full 6 weeks to ship and gets to you sooner.
