Will Lenevo ever release a T60 with the X1800XT Radeon ATI?

I too think they are fugly. Only reason i used them as an example is cause everyone knows what they are, not everyone would know what a sager NP9750 is off the top of their heads

Gotcha, and while I agree the Sager is less offensive, its almost as ugly in the sense that it is so devoid of design style. It reminds me of the typical modern building one finds in suburbia, like a robot designed it. Lacking in emmotion and style.
I don't know why good design is so hard to come by. Its the same with American cars. There are a number of good American cars, but [censored] its like the colors they chose are intentionally tacky compared to the European car paint..

Fugly barely even begins to describe the new XPS line, a Sager would look nicer....but they aren't as common and still have a ways to go in terms of design.
I probably shouldn't think of the kind of heat, or noise, that those things are capable of producing.
Same thing, Lexus has a very nice and creamy eggshell white...but I have yet to find a car company that offers it on a non-luxury/non-premium model.

I met someone who looks a lot like you.
She does the things you do.
But she is an IBM.

you would basically have your hands on a couple 120w lightbulbs... scary, eh?

I wonder how much they have improved the design; I used to feel heat coming through the keyboards on some of the large "media" machines like that I tried before.
Of course, to a point, it is difficult to keep heat from going through the keyboard; so far, though, my Thinkpads and Powerbooks have been some of the few laptops I have used that have no heat radiation coming up through the keyboard.
My old ze5170 HP used to radiate part of the heat it produced through the keyboard, even though the keyboard was pretty well insulated. Then again, the ze5170 would overheat from a simple 32MB ATI card that even had its own fan...So I wouldn't have trusted its cooling anyway.

I would've loved to have an option of choosing an nVidia-based GPU. When I asked the sales rep about it, he said "probably not for a long time... ATi's run better for mobility".
To be honest, a brunch of friend and I started a site for laptops with nVidia-based gpu's (www.laptopvideo2go.com) and I must say: nVidia drivers are far superior than ATi's driver set.
