How realistic is OSX on the T60?
Just wondering, I did a search and see a lot of references to people using OSX on the T60, but no details. What is entailed in doing this? How hard is to get working (dual booting with XP) and how good is the driver support?

Take a look at the OS X on a Thinkpad Forum here as well, you will find people who have already done it and commented on it quite a bit.

I met someone who looks a lot like you.
She does the things you do.
But she is an IBM.

You basically just download the install DVD, burn it, boot the ThinkPad from CD, install it, and 20 minutes later you're running OSX.
Driver support is nearly non-existent in my experience. No power management, no sleep, no wireless, no graphics driver, no advanced mouse features.....not really suitable for full-time use.

Modifying existing .kexts gives full Quartz Extreme / Core Image Support (mouse tearing exists, though)
USB Overdrive for mouse features
If you can live without sleep, and power management (you can download drivers that will display battery time / %), then OS X is a viable option.

Can I simply swap out my T5500 CPU in my 1953CTO T60 with a T5600? Or my T2400 core duo in my 2623D6U T60?
