Fan Control supports a31p?

#1 Post by a31pguy » Wed Apr 19, 2006 4:16 pm

Strange - works in bios mode only. Smart mode won't set the fan values - tries 10 times and errors out - same result on my z60m. Anyone have better results?

I tried this a while ago and recall having no problem with any mode at all on my a31p (2653-l3g). If you're still interested I can install it again, verify that it works and send you my binaries (or just tell you which version number my binaries have).

Cheers,
Martijn.

P.S. Just wondering: it seems my fan has an increased noise level after or around the time I updated to the latest bios. Any thoughts you can give me on that?

I gave it a try too on my A31 (2652-M5M) and could not get it to work.

But the bigger A31P fan is keeping it cool enough, so I am not too worried.

Welcome to the Thinkpad Forums :)

Hmmm, interesting; I am beginning to wonder why it works on some A31s/A31ps but not others.

Neither do I know what the analog of the 0x7C sensor on the A31/p is either. Most of those were found and mapped with a T43, some Thinkpads have less and some have them in different places.

She does the things you do.
But she is an IBM.
