Swap X40 wireless card with X60?

#1 Post by tsammyc » Thu Apr 20, 2006 2:54 am

I can't pick up as many fringe wireless hot spots on my X60s compared to my X40. In particular, I now can't access Yahoo from a hotspot across the street from my office since my company blocks access to Yahoo mail. Can I swap the two wireless cards? and will the BIOS still recognise it? Am hesitant because the X60S requires that you take apart the machine to get to the wireless card. Has anyone disassembled their X60s yet?

You cannot swap the cards.
X40 has a mini-PCI card, X60 has other connector.

X60 has a card like this:

Is that a standardized card size in the x60s? What is it called?
