want to buy a T42/T41

Hi everyone,

I am a student and will arrive America in Aug. I plan to buy a
T42/T41 with following specifications:

1. 14.1 screen( 1400*1050 definition)
2. 1.7G cpu
3. 7200 rotation/m and >=60 GB Hard disk
4. 512M memory

I will be grateful if someone can give me some tips on the model and
price for the above specifications. Moreover, how much do I need to
pay for the tax of the TP?

What about the warranty, 1 or 3 year? Do you want wireless? What video card do you want? 32/64/128MB ATI? The tax depends on which state you are. It's usually around 5%. But Bill (the owner of this forum) doesn't charge tax.

Thank you, G-man. For the warrenty, I prefer 3-year. I want wireless
(I guess b+g is ok for me. a+b+g is luxury). I will study in Alabama.
