Does anyone know any software or plug-in to enable touchpad as a hand-writing input device? So we can use touchpad to input some simple hand written letters or picture.

Hmm not the best benchmark - calculating pi to 2 million digits.

Besides there were only three 1.86 GHz Pentium M machines there, two had the same speed, and the third was seconds slower - probably because it had less ram, or more processes running.
