mystery "PCI device" on X22 - please help!

I am installing Windows 2000 Pro w/ SP4 on my X22 (2662-9DU). Downloaded a bunch of drivers from IBM.com for audio, modem, ethernet, wireless, display and power management, but one mystery "PCI device" remains in Device Manager. Does anyone know what it is? Thanks in advance for your help!

BTW, it's located at PCI bus 0, device 31, function 3. Thanks again.

I just did a quick search and google. This is what I found for an X22:

I/O at 0x1860 [0x186f].
Non-prefetchable 32 bit memory at 0x10000000 [0x100003ff].
Bus 0, device 31, function 3:
SMBus: Intel Corp. 82801CA/CAM SMBus Controller (rev 1).

It is in this site.

Thanks! How come Windows 2000 Pro SP4 can't install it automatically, and how come IBM/Lenovo doesn't provide the driver on their Downloads page? Has anyone else experienced the same problem?

I'm not sure why it won't download automatically. Have you tried using the Software Installer instead of downloading it manually?

Sometimes, i know that these Intel Controller drivers cause problems on the 600E if things are not installed in the correct order.

I tried the Software Installer but it didn't fix the problem. Windows XP recognizes that controller fine, but I need to run Win2K on this machine.

Seems that you missing Supplement files for Windows (ThinkPad A30/p, A31/p, S31, T23, T30, X22, X23, X24), I had same issue after clean reinstall of W2k SP4 on my A31p.
