X31 problems

I have an X31, running clean install of windows xp sp2 with drivers from ibm. Not sure whether to put this in the X series forum or general hardware/software, but here goes.

I'd like to swap the FN and Ctrl keys on the left side, but the keyboard customiser utility cant do that. Is there another way?

I got a 8x DVD-rom drive from an a21p, it reads cd/dcd just fine, but it does not eject by itself (I have to use a paperclip) and it does not read CD-XA discs. Any way to remedy this?

FIXED:I can't get the USB 2.0 to work in high speed mode, it only works in full (slow) speed. In the device manager, 3 usb root hubs and 3 Intel 82801DB/DBM USB host controller 24c2, 4, and 7 are recognized, but there is a Universal Serial Bus (USB) controller that has a question mark next to it.
