A22m Crucial Memory Test Results

#1 Post by dewey » Sun Apr 23, 2006 7:31 pm

Using the crucial.com site's memory test, I was surprised to see that the max memory is 1024mb, not 512. I was under the impression that
512 was the absolute max.
Has anyone used 1 gig in theirs A22m 2628 with success,,,,or any problems.....

If you haven't used this memory tester it's pretty cool. It doesnt load it just reads your info.

The chipset, the 440BX, does suport 1GB. However, it only supports 256MB DIMMs, and needs 4 of those to get 1GB. The max the A22m can have is 512MB.

Cool, maybe that explains why only 256 sticks are available and I only have 2 available slots....
Thanks for the response.
