new information about secure chip in bios, maybe
new information about secure chip in bios, maybe
thx for your comment.
i have search 1 hour and found on ibm.com a bios emulator.
here is the link, for examples t22:
w³-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?sitestyle=lenovo&lndocid=MIGR-42688
in the config--> IBM Security Chip, you can put enable/disable the tcpa
the bios emulator emulate other thinkpads, too.
i think, i buy a thinkpad t22 or t23 and disable the security chip.
which display is better:
Display: 14,1"XGA TFT (1024x768) or
Display: 14,1"SXGA+ TFT Display (1400x1050)
have all IBM T2x series a special chassis, (titan or other hightech material) ?
thanks

14,1"SXGA+ is obviously better.
Crams more pixles in the same area, thus looks sharper.
So you want to get into the bios then disable the security chip and use it like that instead of just going for a working unsecured version of the laptop?
I don't think you can really avoid that security chip though... its a physical chip next to the ram slot in the T20...

im fairly certain that once the security chip is installed, it is tied to the board and without it, the board will not function
I know this is the case on teh T4x series at least... You cant swap secure chips after one has already been installed.
