To personally compare between a T4x/6x (p) 14" & 15
Between a 14" and 15" IBM T Series, I need to basically compare between the following things:
- PHYSICAL
- SIZE
- WEIGHT AND
- HOLD CARRY FEEL FACTOR
&
- SCREEN REAL ESTATE
Now, preferably I'd like to check between a 14" SXGA+ machine and a 15" UXGA plus machine.
I know all the discussed factors and how much extra screen space you get etc etc ( I have a 15" HP SXGA+ & a 17" Dell 1920x1200).
I do like the extra real estate the 1600x1200 brings but I might give that up for the CARRY / SIZE factors (above) of the 14.
I am not sure and would like to do an IN PERSON comparison.
HOW?
1) Fellow forum members who are in town or around the state (TX, Dallas, Houston, Austin) who have one or more of the above
2) Stores in TX or other places where I can do such a hands on comparative.
Please advise.
Thanks.
PS: I did search for "Store" etc but could not find any definite information besides rumours that some BBs & CUSAs might carry them.

My T43p
My t43p is light, fast and trouble free. My only small surprise was that about 15% of the 80g hard disk is a hidden partiion that contains system restore files.
The screen is amazing. The machine is very light and easy to transport.
This is my 5th laptop (Gateway:3 machines, Toshiba:2 machines-one stolen, one I still have as a backup to my new T43p) and it just simply works better. Fingerprint reader is useful, but a little "particular".
The only thing it won't do is play a DVD-R disc I burned on my LG VCR/DVD machine-source file was the DV input from my high-definition Sony video camcorder. (LG claims-"welcome to the world of software incompatibility with DVD burning.")
Otherwise, ordered the machine on a Friday afternoon and received it the following Friday in North Carolina. Phone rep for IBM was very helpful. We discussed T60 vs T43p and decided on the T43p to save me some money..besides the T43 I believe is a tried and true platform.
I hope this helps anyone trying to decide what to do.

Personaly my choise was '"14
Since im student and alot of my essays are written in bed I needed something light/small but with enough space on the screen to move things around.
All my previous laptops were "15 (1400x1050) and i can defenetly say i will never go back to them.
"14 provide almos as much and since im always close to it i dont even notice the difference, also then i take it too school it feels so much smaller then "15 !!!! Amazing.
But if you sit at your desk most of the time then defenetly get a "15 will be easier on your eyes

I asked a couple of Office Depots and they only have one notebook on display. 3000 N100.
Now is there any way I could look at the T series notebooks somewhere?
