I don't know too much about video cards... what in your opinion is the better all around card?
I was thinking of going to the x300 with 64MB because I assume it is a less powerful card - and my current t43p has major heat issues.
What are the pros and cons?
Thanks!

The FireGL.
It's actually based on the X600, and the X600 is more powerful than the X300...
Of course this all depends upon your needs; both of these are pretty overkill if you're only using it for web/office/general productivity apps, the integrated GMA900 is sufficient in my opinion. However, if you're going to use CAD then the FireGL is a must-have.
As for the heat issue, don't worry about it too much. I'm sure the 'Pad you get is designed/tweaked to tolerate the heat.

be careful with the FireGL and any OGL games...my FireGL T2 on the T41P and T42P I had never allowed Doom3, Quake 3, or Tribes 2 to work....for DX games it was fine though.

Wow at 450/232 how stable does your Radeon run?? I really want to OC mine, but I'm scared to go that high. Also, how much of a performance boost do you get from that as opposed to stock speeds (320/210 I believe.) And finally, what about the heat issue - is any kind of extra cooling required?
