Boot up issue

#1 Post by bilalmuddassir » Tue Apr 25, 2006 5:08 pm

There is a program that runs after every other program has finished running during computer startup.

This program is called Client Security Solution or something and it literally drags my 1GB RAM T42 and I am wondering how to turn it off and whether there is wisdom in turning it off.

Faster bootup should not be a dream on this machine. :(

If you so choose to remove CSS (not really recommended) you can do so through your Software Installer. I believe that Software Installer is under Programs/Thinkvantage

CSS is really only applicable for a relatively small number of user classes who have particular security requirements. For many user classes is basically unnecessary, and can be deleted.

Cheers,

Bill

Can someone briefly tell me the benefits of CSS so I can choose to uninstall it with reason.
