So I put this USB/Firewire PCI card into the Dock II's PCI slot, and it works fine when I'm just using the USB ports.
However, as soon as I plug in a firewire device, all the USB devices suddenly disappear! I mean, Windows XP tells me they have been removed.
I suspected some kind of IRQ conflict, so I looked at that, but I'm not sure how I can reassign the IRQ of one particular PCI device. I used the various tools in the "Thinkpad Configuration" utility, but all the options are greyed out; perhaps there are no IRQs left to use.
Has anyone ever had this problem before? it's driving me batty -- this is the 2nd USB/Firewire combo card I've tried, and I've had the same problem with both (first was Adaptec, this one's SIIG).
