finger print reader slow

I have a T43 (2668 72U). I noticed that everytime after i wake the machine up after its gone to screen saver or sleep when i close the lcd and try to log back in by using the finger print reader i have to swipe about 3 to 4 times before the laptop responds. Has anyone noticed this on your machines?

I used to sometimes get lag like this. For me it was cause X-Chat had some error which made it use up 100% cpu after a while if you left it idle for a while.

Next time this happens maybe you can check task manager to see what programs are doing what. To see if something's hogging consumption of resources.

Also something slightly unrelated, one time I had the laptop come back from sleep and the fingerprint reader wouldn't work at all. Some kind of initialisation error. This was despite it letting me in initially to log into my account. That was fixed after a reboot though, so who knows what was up.
