Difference between: X60 vs. X60s ?

#1 Post by archer6 » Fri Apr 28, 2006 2:36 pm

After Reading the tabook, I'm still confused regarding the specific differences between the X60 & X60s.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Also, any comments on which one is better would be great.
I will be using it for simple tasks like email, outlook, web, word, etc. Basically a second notebook for it's portability, when I don't want to carry my T60.

Thanks

As far as I understand, the X60s is slightly lighter and thinner, but you sacrifice maximum clock speed (Only goes up to 1.66ghz)

All system updates installed

Thanks for your response. How are you enjoying yours?
As you can see by my signature I made a decision to order the S model and I await delivery.

Do all the new x6X series thinkpads have the CPU soldered on to the motherboard?

I remember that the x3X series thinkpads did. Was planning on buying an x3X but opted out to wait until i can find something i can upgrade. Might just wait for the price of an x60s to go down.

A matter of inevitability. :)

Cheers
