My New Thinkpad
I have just recieved confirmation from lenovo... my thinkpad is currently being configured and should be ready soon. The estimated ship date on the "order status" page is May 4th, so if i'm lucky, i'll have my thinkpad by the end of next week.
It is a customized Z60m with the following specs:
Pentium M 1.86Ghz / 533Mhz FSB / 2MB L2 Cache
1GB DDR2 SoDIMM RAM
Dual-Layer Multiburner Drive
Fingerprint Reader
IBM a/b/g wireless mini-pci card
80GB 5400RPM SATA HDD
What does everyone think? Also, could anyone point me to any reviews... i've read the CNet, Laptop Logic, Notebook Review, and Laptop Magazine reviews but they arent particularly informative.

Just counting the days
-- My Tech Toys: PalmOne Tungsten T5, of course my PC (2.2ghz - 400Mhz FSB, 1GB DDR, Geforce FX 5200 -- yes, i know a i know i have a pathetic video card), and an IBM/Lenovo Thinkpad T61 (2.0 Ghz - 800Mhz FSB, 1GB DDR2)
Having something similar, here's my review:
I love this machine. It's fast, solid and fun. The only thing that I find a little weird (and I'm sure it's just me) is that the body of the machine is large and the keyboard is the a little hard to touch type with because I'm so used to my older T and R machines. The wireless gets great range and rarely loses connection. Watching movies is awesome, the audio and picture is clear. I'm not too much of a gamer, but the shooters I've tried out work fine. I have the six cell battery, and I've been getting about 4+ hours with the wireless on, listening to the radio, the monitor fully lit set on Thinkpad Default.
I'll be upgrading the RAM and HDD as soon as I can find an excuse to spend the extra money, but my 2529 has handles everything smoothly.
