T60 motherboard design defect?

#1 Post by bibo » Sat Apr 29, 2006 6:41 pm

If you take the T60 apart, you will see a yellow line on top of the motherboard. Has anyone noticed the yellow line? Is it a make up repairment for severe design defect? Will it bother us in the further? Here are the pictures.

besides, this is NOT A DEFECT..!
in the electronics business it is called an "ENGINEERING CHANGE" and is done all the time..

a small modification..

you want ibm (or lenovo) to do a whole bunch of new planar bopards just for one tine mod..?
and thereby raise the price of the thinkpad..??
it is a real pisser that some are whooping this up..

the early 770's had one that was done to all that came back for any warranty work..

i am only posting this reply because i can (its my perogative as i own the place) and because it is making much of nothing..
