#1 Post by 87325is » Mon May 01, 2006 10:41 pm

When i run this the processor only runs at 1ghz. no matter what i change. I am new to this software and wondered if there is somthing special i need to do to get the processor speed to change according to what i have selected.

you have to set the maximum CPU speed to adeptive in power manager,to make you cpu can running at the maximum speed.

t2300 1.66 it will jump to 1.66 every so often but never lower. i thought 600 was the lowest. Load will be at 1% or so and it will still be at 1ghz. I will check the power settings

1GHz is the lowest speed possible on any Core Duo or Core Solo processor. This is 6x the processor's clock rate of 166MHz, just like 600MHz was 6x the clock rate (100MHz) of the processor in the T42.

I have the same problem as 8725i. When NHC is running, my CPU keeps staying at 1Ghz no matter how I configure the profiles in the power manager or NHC. Im running the latest beta.

It looks like there is conflict between the IBM power manager and NHC. :(

Kel --

I think you missed darrenf's post:

Maybe... My problem is different then... I meant, my CPU wont stay at 2.16. It gets stuck at 1Ghz when NHC is running, even if I configure power manager and NHC for max performance.

right now im lowering GPU power with ati powerplay and controling fans with fancontrol. works fine.

Yup, you're right. It's weird, but I uninstalled (I kept the settings.ini), reinstalled the latest BETA version, and now it reads 2.00Ghz.

EDIT: Out of no where, it switched back to 1Ghz. Just exit and re-run it.
