2GB SODIMM for X60s

#1 Post by Scott A. Thompson » Tue May 02, 2006 8:32 pm

Does anyone know when 2GB SODIMMS are expected to be available? The TABOOK sheets indicate the X60s's have a 3GB memory maximum (4GB physical but per footnote 31 the 945GM and 945PM motherboards can only address 3GB (at least for now; new BIOS may "fix" this?) Kingston's website says the maximum memory in the X60s "2GB with current Kingston products" and "4 GB with release of 2GB module" so it sounds like we should be able to get X60s' up to 3GB of memory, if not for in the foreseeable future. Question is when (and at what cost.)
