your opinion about thinkpad g40

hi

i am interested to buy this item from e bay

Good machine if you don't mind the weight of the box .. that unit runs a desktop version of a hyperthread processor, so you know it's gonna haul some serious [censored]. Battery life is horrid, but then again how long does a desktop run when you unplug it? No quality problems and plenty of USB ports to go around.

I'd take that over the A31p to be honest .. much more reliable, more powerful and newer to boot.

The G40 is an ugly monster! It's probably the biggest and heaviest laptop I have ever seen.

This is a given, not so sure about the ugly part...But then again, you may prefer ultra-portables.

I have a friend that has a G40, he does take it to campus with him most days and does indeed like it alot.

No its not! :x It may be big and heavy but its a great ThinkPad.

And I have used a G40 (at school, and you can see a topic that I made about it here: http://forum.thinkpads.com/viewtopic.php?t=13543) and its a great ThinkPad.
