EPP sales are Final

I've lurked here for some weeks, while I deliberated on which laptop to buy. Today I pulled the trigger on a 14" T60p. It was an over-the-phone sale, and I used the Lenovo/EPP program. After all the options were discussed, the sales rep informed me that EPP sales are final. I was quite surprised, to say the least, since I've read on these forums (pehaps a hundred times) about the 30 day return policy. I must say that policy was a big factor for me in settling on a Thinkpad, and it seems that other members here feel the same way. Anyway, I expressed my surprise a number of ways to the sales rep, and he explained the policy changed about three weeks ago. Though I was tempted to stop the purchase, I yielded to the momentum of my lengthy decision process and just went for it. The bottom line is that I was disappointed at the change will have my fingers crossed until I get my hands on my new machine.

Just wanted to share this experience.
