Lenovo (IBM) Official Options Only Upgrades

#1 Post by BillB » Sat May 06, 2006 11:08 am

Does anyone know when Lenovo started requiring only official
OPTIONS hard drive upgrades for Thinkpads?
I put a 80G Hitachi 7200RPM (7K100) drive in my T21
(2647-8AU) and don't get the reported BOOT message as reported on these forums.
I'm going to replace the T21 with a T30 or T4x and would like to know when it started, by Type/Feature?
