Damaged DC in connector T43

#1 Post by ejp001 » Sat May 06, 2006 9:41 pm

Hi - I have a T43 with a damaged DC in connector. Looks like the negative metal contact is bent preventing the charger from functioning. Can anyone help me figure our how I can get to the DC connector to see if I can fix myself? Also, is the DC connector on the laptop replaceable in case it is permanently damaged? The system is still under warranty so I would not want to void it. Thanks in advance for any help.

The Hardware Maintenance Manual will explain how to do that! The power connector is separate part from the planar (motherboard) and is field replaceable with some effort at disassembly (as per the Hardware Maintenance Manual).
